Suggest Remedy For Small Growth On Scalp

i have this small growth on my scalp, covered by my hair, that won't go away. Doctors have tried burning it off like a wart, I have tried squeezing, picking, etc., to no avail. I have had this for approximately 20 years. Now I have another one a few inches away from the original one that is on my neck. Same thing, hurts, has a scab, when I pick the scab off, it feels rough underneath. A new scab forms, then it raises up and gets really hard and starts to hurt. What the heck is this?
