Suggest Remedy For Sore Throat

I smoke 1-2cigarretes a day since a year. Now for a month or so am having sore throat which is never going. Warm water n azithrol also didnt help. Can u plz recommend any medicine to help as m a lady and feel hesitated to face a doctor regarding this. Plz help.
