Suggest Remedy For Soreness And Swelling In Mole On Arm

Hi, I have had a large mole on my arm for as long as I can remember, it is slightly reaised. I have noticed in the past 2 or 3 days it has become slightly sore, like i have a spot or bite underneath it, but there is no evidence of an insect bite or spot. Do you think I need to get it checked out?
