Suggest Remedy For Soreness On The Surgical Scar Caused Due To Neck Lifting

I had a neck lift two years ago. No incision under neck. Permanent stiches behind my left ear. They are bothering me now. They feel heavy and my neck is stick and sore in that area. These stiches were supposed to stay in forever. I called and they are saying it could be scar tissue?? Any suggestions as to what can be done about this??
