Suggest Remedy For Stabbing Pain In Inner Part Of Knee

I get a stabbing pain in the inner part of my right knee. The pain comes suddenly and feels like needles stabbing me. The pain subsides after a few seconds and may not occur for a few days. It began about 10 days ago. It may occur while sitting, standing or laying down so there is no consistency. I am not overweight and exercise daily. It may be a nerve problem, but I am not sure. Any ideas are appreciated.
