This past week I was suffering severely from Strep Throat and vomitting copiously. The worsening symptoms led me eventually to the ER where it was discovered my Sodium levels had dropped to a dangerous level. Unfortunately, the Sodium IV only made my nausia worse and I continued vomitting over a period of hours in ER. I was released from the Hospital yesterday after all the testing and bloodwork found me to be in good health. However, my esophagus seems to be severely damaged from the vomitting so badly that I can't eat anything. Even vigorously chewing grapes or rice and attempting to swallow leads to an extremely painful burning sensation running up and down my throat. I tried drinking Pepto but it does not seem to help. Even sipping water is painful. What can I do to ease the pain or increase the healing of my damaged esophagus? Thank you.
