Suggest Remedy For Stuffy Nose With A Cut Inside The Nostril

Hello my four year old son has a stuffy nose cold but I think he might have gotten a cut inside of nose because it gives off this ear wax smell as well as a brownish redish crust around his nose mixed in with the runny snot that is inside of it. I am not sure if this is a basic cold or something else?
