Suggest Remedy For The Burnt Finger

I burned left ring finger yesterday when a golf cart battery exploded. I did clean off the skin and residue. It is about the size of a quarter. I did put neosporen on it. A couple people have seen it today and think a portion of it may be 3rd degree. Is there anything else I need to do Wasn't sure if I should cover it
