Suggest Remedy For Tinnitus With A History Of Stent Implantation

I m a 66 yr. old man that had a stent implanted 6 months ago. In the new year I got tinnitus and cannot seem to habituate from it. I have heard that Retigabine a drug for seizures has been very successful in reducing the ringing effects of tinnitus. Is it safe for me to take a short course of this drug to reduce my tinnitus?
