Suggest Remedy For White And Red Rash In Armpits

I was sick with swine flu all week. I was in bed most of the time. I showered regularly but I didn't use deoderant. I now have these rashes in my arm pits. I think it is fungal. They have a really red middle, white skin around the red, and white bumps all over the arm pit. I do not have insurance for another week so I won't be able to get some prescription cream until then. I know there is over the counter fungal creams but most of them say for athletes foot. Would I be able to use them until I can get to the doctor? I also heard that apple cider vinegar and peppermint essential oils help. I have both of those things here at home.
