Suggest Remedy Fro Heavy Bleeding When On Norethisterone

hi, my doctor has given me norethisterone as i have been having a period which lasted 10 days, stopped for 6 days and then had another 8 days of very heavy bleeding, i have had problems in past with this and doc says its just hormones. I had a mirena coil fitted 13 months ago, but had it removed after 2 weeks as had uncontrollable bleeding. I am sterilised (16 years ago) - am 46 years of age? any ideas at all as so fed up of it
