Suggest Remedy To Prevent Uterine Contractions From Expelling Out IUD

I recently had an IUD inserted, and my uterus expelled it into my cervical canal within a day. It had to be removed. My gyno said its because my uterus contracted so hard it pushed it out. Is there a medication I can ask my doctor about to decrease these chances? Or decrease the uterine contractions?
