Suggest Remedy To Relieve Pain In Feet After Recovering From Pneumonia

Hi, my brother has just recently come home from the hospital after surviving pneumonia that turned sepsis. Because of treatment, he is left with black toes and has had skin removed from ankles and feet. Was wondering what he should do now. He has no insurance, so no nurses. His girlfriend was told how to clean his feet and he's been given some morphine pads and maybe pills. He is still in so much pain. Was wondering if there is anything else he can do for pain or if he has to just fight it until he finally heals. I think he's beginning to wish he wouldn't have made it. Any advise would help, Thank you so much.
