Suggest Remedy To Remove Bump On Upper Lip

I have a bump on my top lip that I have had for 4 years now. It's the same color as my lip, and it doesn't hurt nor is it pop able. There is no puss or white stuff inside of it. I have never kissed anyone before so I doubt it's herpes. My doctor also says it's not herpes. I was wondering what it is and what I can do to remove it? It is noticeable, thank you.
