Suggest Suitable Medication For Severe Migraine

I just gave my 19-year-old daughter a 6 mg subq shot of Imitrex for a severe migraine. I apparently hit/blew out/nicked a blood vessel in her upper thigh. If the medication went directly into her vessel instead of just under the skin, is this a serious problem since it goes into the bloodstream quickly anyway?
