Suggest Test To Determine TSH Level

What is the best lab test to determine TSH 3 and 4. I understand that Western Medicine does not spend time looking at TSH3 and how to convert it into Thyroid medication. I have had hypothroidism for years and take Synthroid. I have just been diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation, and wonder if my thyroid has some cause in this? Sharon
