Suggest The Type Of Lens That Can Be Used For Astigmatism During Cataract Surgery

I wear progressive eyeglasses for extreme farsightedness, astigmatism and nearsightedness. I am 66 years old and I have recently discovered that I need cataracts removed in both eyes. I also have diabetic retinopothy which has been stable for the last 10 years. I am quite confused about the type of implant lenses I should get. I know the multifocal lenses would probably not work well for my situation but I am also unsure that the toric lenses which can correct astigmatism would be a better choice than the basic lens and then just suck up to glasses. Can you offer any help to help me choose?
