Suggest Treatment For BV Causing Raw Burning Of Skin

I have been battling BV for about a week now and having been using extra strength Vagisil to combat the itching, burning and swelling. Now when I apply the ointment it burns worse, so I looked and it seems that some skin may actually be "burned" raw. Can I use Neosporin or another ointment to halp stop the bacteria and burn me raw.
