Suggest Treatment For Hashimoto S Thyroiditis

I have hashimoto s thyroiditis, which has been stable for a few years. I work in an elementary school, and I ve been fighting a sore throat for 4 weeks now. Yesterday it came back, with a dry cough, after 3 days of no symptoms, and I was so cold when I got home I checked my temp. and it was 95.8 F. Does this seem like a bacterial infection I can get treated, or just something to ride out with rest?
