Suggest Treatment For Lipedematous Alopecia?

My mother is a 49yr old african-american and has had symptoms that suggest she has Lipedematous alopecia for at least 10 years. She has the thick boggy scalp and the hairs that will grow in that area are extremely thin and sparse. What treatments are available to her?
