Suggest Treatment For MRSA

I was just informed that I have MRSA. The doctor did not seem overly concerned about it when she was giving me a "brief" explanation of it. I have always been a super clean person. I am a little worried and scared now. If I have no current skin infections can I still transmit it to another person? I am afraid of touching my wife and kids. What and How does a person live and deal with MRSA?
