Suggest Treatment For PCOS

Hello, my other half has alopecia and it is getting worse as the months pass, her is abit of background to the situation, about a year ago she went around six months without a period so she went to the hospital and they said she has got polycystic ovaries. The lack of periods continued until she went on the mini pill (cerazeete) and this made her periods more regular, however we noticed that she developed a small hairless patch on the side of her head, we then went to the GP who said it was alopecia. We have been back for a blood test which came back negative, on the second visit to the GP we had to inform the doctor what alopecia was becuase she was clueless. We decided to not take the mini pill anymore and we saw a bit of regrowth however her periods again stopped completely. She has know been taking it again for the past week and her period has came but her hair is getting worse. Our GP is certain that the two are not linked but it seems to much of a coincidence to me, we are in abit of a pickle because if she takes the pill then her hair is affected but her period comes regualr but if she doesnt take it then her hair improves but her period stops and she gets bad stomach cramps. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
