Suggest Treatment For A Bruise Like Spot On Upper Arm

Hi, I have a spot on my upper arm that looks like a bruise and when u feel it, it seems like a little know on it. It has been there for about a year now and it seems like it has gotten a little bigger/darker. It does not hurt at all and I haven't done anything to cause the bruise type spot. Please advise!
