Suggest Treatment For A Cyst In Labia Minora

I currently have a cyst in my labia minora. It was quite painful and my ob spoke about injecting a local anaesthetic to numb it before removing whats inside. He said that because it has a particular top on it, if its drained it may return, and the best way to get rid of the problem may be to have the tissue surronding it removed. Is this right?
