Suggest Treatment For A Dry And Itchy Mole On The Back

I have been to my gp to check a mole on my back. I never sunbathe or use us beds. This particular mole is dry and itchy, but around the mole I am experiencing numbness. Is this serious ? My gp seemed to think it looked ok, but I am worried she may have mis diagnosed. What should I do ?
