Suggest Treatment For A Mole On The Cheek Of A Child

My daughter is 7 yrs old, and ever since she was born she has had a dark (black) mole/ beauty ark on her lower left cheek/ jawbone area, close to ear. She is very self conscious about it and never even puts her hair up bc of it. I talked to my other daughters dermatologist and she said they would remove it but she wouldnt recommend to do it in her office she would want to refer her to a pediatric surgeon and do it that way. I was just wondering how long the procedure is, do they have to stay in the hospital or is it a day thing. Is the area stichted up afterwords?
