Suggest Treatment For A Skin Infection

My husband has a sore from his prosthetic rubbing. We have been under his sugeons care, I just am curious why there is so much orange liquid seeping out of the sore that we see at dressing changes on the gauze pads. It just runs out, when the dressing is off. thanks.
