Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain And Vaginal Bleeding

hi im a 20 year old mother of 2 and have been having alot of abdominal pain, bleeding and pain during sex. i have had a transvaginal and transabdominal scan which has indecated a para ovarian cyst 19mm in diameter! i am a bit concerened as endometriosis runs in my family. What steps should my doctor be taking? As he has just said more swabs and bloods to be done. Shouldnt i be reffered to a GYN?
