Suggest Treatment For Acne And Oily Skin

Good Day Doctor!
I am Paulo from the Philippines. I am a male in my early twentyâ??s with Asian oily acne-prone skin. I learned that being acne-prone has always been in my genes. And now, I have problems picking out the right regimen and product components to suit me and my problem.
For the past years, it has always been trial and error, and things have led to undesirable outcomes such as permanent scars and hyperpigmentation. I have consulted a dermatologist but it seems that even their regimens didnâ??t work. Throughout those years of experimenting with different products, I have learned on my own that I am very reactive to products with components such as salicylic acid, tretinoin, hydroquinone, green tea, vitamin C, and PABA.
I came across Glycolic Acid and tested the whole line of products containing it, except for those cream-based products as I should avoid them according to my dermatologist. It proved effective in drying up and speeding the healing of my acne. Up to date, I still use this regimen. I use a glycolic soap, a glycolic toner, Benzoyl Peroxide Gel (5%), clindamycin phosphate solution (1%). Mostly, I add whitening products to the regimen such as whitening facial wash (right after using the glycolic soap), and whitening serum, which serves as my moisturizer. Then I finish it all off with face powder with sunscreen protection. Once-twice a month, I also have facials in which I add a mask with strong medication, which proved to be effective afterwards. However, after a week or so, new pimples acne reappeared. So basically, my problem is, therefore, the maintenance regimen.
When I consulted with my dermatologist about this, she said that glycolic products were too weak for my cystic acne, and that I should shift to stronger medication. But she always shifted me back to tretinoin, hydroquinone, and the lot. So I just stuck to the glycolic regimen despite its weakness.
Despite the speedy drying and healing of my acne. I have noticed that my cystic acne never cleared up. I speculated that the whitening products may have caused the breakouts. I then tried the regimen without the products for a month, but still, my acne recurred.
I am now finding other products and components which might be more effective in lessening and preventing acne for good. I learned from a friend with the same situation that he used Adapalene (Differin) in his regimen along with a dermatologist-formulated soap and toner. His dermatologist was my dermatologist as well. It did wonders for him and his face was flawless, coupled with multiple sessions of facial treatments. He is now in the maintenance stage wherein he doesnâ??t have t got for facial treatments that often anymore and is only relying on the products he as already. By the way, she gave me the same toner and soap, but she never tested my on Differin before. I then assumed that given the same toner and soap we used, maybe the Differin was the key component in the healing of his acne.
Recently, I researched on Adapalene and its effectiveness on acne. It is contraindicated with AHA, therefore it leads me to compare the two products. Based from what Iâ??ve read, Adapalene is more effective than AHA, especially when used with Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide (which I currently use). My question now is, given that I am about to use Adapalene and I need to stop using AHA products as a consequence, what ingredients or components of my facial products are suited or would increase the efficacy of Adapalene? After which, what now would be my daily regimen given the type of products suggested?
