Suggest Treatment For Acute Bronchitis

I had the flu the second week of December followed by acute bronchitis. On the 23rd of December, I walked up a fligh of stairs and could not walk very well when I reached the top and thereafter. My muscles in my legs and hips were on fire and any movement was very painful. Went to the ER and they were more concerned with my respiratory system. I was put on prednisone 10 mg and they said the virus probably settled in my muscles. This is now January 18, and although it has a little improvement, it is still quite prevelant. Any ideas?
