Suggest Treatment For Acute Bronchitis

I have a sinus problem. for about 1yr. nothing my doctor gives me works. I have a green & yellow mucus that smells so bad. I went to the ER last weekend and they said I had acute bronchitis. I had trouble breathing and was wheezing. Can you share your thoughts of what Medications I should be taking to help this. My age is 69
