Suggest Treatment For Acute Maxillary Sinusitis

Friend had what he thought was TMJ, ruled that out, so wondering if it is chronic/acute maxilary sinusitis? He can't eat due to pain, losing weight, feeling pretty tired and bordering on depression. Obviously needs to see a doc,but just trying to research a little for him.
