Suggest Treatment For Anal Bleeding

I have a lump on the "outside" of my anus. If I touch it its tender and its a little itchy. I have had bleeding in my stools. Underneath the lump and around, it's purple. A very good amount purple. What would you suggest this is? And is it something I should see a doctor for ASAP, or allow it some time?
