Suggest Treatment For Atrophic Endometrium

what is atrophic endometrium? i am 50, perimenopausal and recently been diagnosed with atrophic endometrium after a hysteroscopy + d&c. since i started bleeding again 3-4 days after the procedure, i have been put on the combined pill and three days later am waiting for the bleeding to stop. is this the right line of treatment? thanks.
