Suggest Treatment For Back Pain

I just bought a new mattress. It is supposed to be firm but after a couple months I am having back pain. I can t return it. What is a good firm mattress topper to use? It is overwhelming to shop for these, too many choices. Or do you have another suggestion, I am tossing and turning all night long.
