Suggest Treatment For Bilateral Leg Stiffness And Muscle Cramps

I have bilateral leg stiffness and muscle cramps. This has been going on for about 7 months. I am afraid too see my physician because my mother died of als. What other causes are there. I am a 53 year old male, with no other health problems. Thank You
