Suggest Treatment For Bleeding/inflammation In The Ear Canal

I have an ear infection and am on antibiotics. The GP told me that there was bleeding/inflamation in the ear canal. This morning I woke up and my infected ear was in a lot of pain, and I felt alot of pressure there. It felt like they needed "popping". I tried swallowing, which always works for me, but this time it didn't and when I finally "popped" my ear it actually had a popping sound(?). I dont know why but It takes me a cotten bud and pulling on my ear to clear the pressure, the annoying this is the pressure comes back every minute or so when I am completely still. Please help.
