Suggest Treatment For Bleeding On The Nipple While Breastfeeding

Hi, i am mother of a nine month old baby boy. for 8 months of breast feeding i did not feel any pain. Just last 2 weeks ago i feel itchy on my areola and everytime i am breastfeeding i felt pain and bleeding on the base of my nipple. i already see a doctor regarding this but the prescribe ointment gives relief only when I apply. please suggest me. thanks.
