Suggest Treatment For Blocked Salivary Gland

I have a huge blocked salivary gland on right side of jaw and neck and doctors don't seem to be helping me. The last bout I had, I was told to suck on lemon drops and given an antibiotic. I have it again and am going to try to drink hot lemon juice. What causes this and how can I correct it without seeing a dr. I had sinus surgery in late December and thought this would correct the problem.
