Suggest Treatment For Broken Bone Spur On Upper Back Of Heel

I was just at the foot doctors, I have a broken bone spur on the upper back of my heel near my achilles tendon. It was clearly visible on the x rays. He has me in a walking boot for 1 month then another visit and probably more x rays. What are the treatments? I forgot to ask the doctor.
