Suggest Treatment For Broken Clavicle Bone

my 27 yr old son broke his clavicle 2 1/2 weeks ago. The orthopedic PA sent him home after his visit with meds for pain. ( a compound fracture) Friday at his follow up visit, they decided he needed surgery this tuesday! He was denied FLMA thru work, and I think they are cancelling his insurance, as he has not worked the required hours to maintain it. Does he need this break repaired? I need an ORTHOPEDIC CONSULT please.
