Suggest Treatment For Broken Ribs

I broke two ribs under left arm 7 days ago in a fall. For the last two days I have intense pain under left arm going around my back under the shoulder blase. This pain is worse than from the original rib fractures. What could it be. Keep in mind this pain did not start for a week after initial injury. Pain meds dont help either. Thanks!
