Suggest Treatment For Bruise Near Eye After Hitting

My 4 year old son bumped heads with another child in p.e. today and his glasses were pushed into his face and left a knot and blue bruise near his eye. The nurse at this school was concerned because it double its size in 2 hours? I have already called the doctor but I haven't heard back yet.
