Suggest Treatment For Bumps Caused By Tattoo

Hi I just recently got a tattoo two months ago, two weeks into the healing process i got these big red bump all over the tattoo. I went to see the guy who gave me the tattoo and he said its the allergic reaction to the lotion i used during the healing process and said not to put any lotion and let it dry out so it will go away in a couple of weeks. So i waited two weeks and the bumps didn't go away. I went to the doctor and told me its a allergic reaction and she gave me an anti-bacterial cream. I put the anti bacteria cream for six weeks now and bumps have just decreased in size into small bumps but are still present. How long will it take to have these bumps fully gone?
