Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation On Top Of Foot

I have sporadic burning sensation at the top of my left foot about 10 times a day for a few seconds each time and always in the same place. Also have a stiff and painful big toe on the same foot but not swelling or redness. Female, age 47, healthy with no underlying illness'
