Suggest Treatment For Cardiomyopathy And CHF

hank you. My husband is 54 years old with no history of heart problems. He is not a diabetic either. He as been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and CHF. His EF is 14%. He has not had a heart cath done yet. He is going to the V.A. for treatment. They are trying to schedule a heart cath for the 28th of this month. Should I be worried about sudden death before the procedure?
