Suggest Treatment For Clogged Ear

I have a clogged ear problem. I went to get an OTC treatment and it seemed to work last night but this morning I woke up and my ear was clogged again. I used it this morning and it still hasn't worked again. I just put it back in my ear and put cotton inside but I'm really scared something more could be wrong.
