Suggest Treatment For Cold And Cough

Hello. I have had a heavy cold for the past 8 days and noticed early on and also today that when I blew my nose or coughed up mucas that was clear coloured there was also some blood in it. I have been taking chicken soup, lemsips, resting and taking ginger ale to help but cold seems to be lingering. have you any suggestions?
