Suggest Treatment For Cold And Sinus Infection

I have had a cold or sinsus infection for about 26 days now? I feel like I am drowning in mucus in my throat and nose. When I blow my nose, light green mucus is still coming up and my ear get a loud screeching noise. I am 65 1/2 year old female usually in great health. How long should this last?
