Suggest Treatment For Constant Headache & Joint Pain

My body temperature is normal but I feel as if I am cooking on the inside. I have a constant but not bad headache and joint pain. I have had a partial thyroidectomy, long standing goitre. I am 51 years old so my GP thinks this is menopausal but this is not hot flushes. I am dreading the summer months. Please any sugestions?
